Collective prayer (October 1, 2009)

leave a comment »

I find myself standing inside a church, very close to the altar, and around me are both believing christians and atheists. After a while everyone except me get down on their knees to pray. I look around and an atheist-friend wants me to kneel too. Since I don’t understand why I refuse. Instead I just stand there during the short ceremony wondering why the atheists are praying too! Afterwards a middle-aged christian woman comes up to me and hugs me for quite some time, which I find confusing but not scary.

Bug fight (July 15, 2009)

leave a comment »

I stand by a small lake with a fishing rod and a yellow spinner. I have no luck. Then I almost crush two or three baby frogs with my feet. I crouch to have a closer look. Now I see one spider-like insect who attacks some sort of caterpillar. I don’t know what to do. I hate to see the little caterpillar dying but if I interrupt the hungry insect might starve to death! The fight is natural, I think to myself, but also very real with real consequences. Eventually I decide to do nothing but watching.

Scientists outside Cuba (July 14, 2009)

leave a comment »

I am in a room but decide to leave so I fly upwards through the ceiling. For a moment I think about just playing around in the clouds, but soon I get an impulse that I want to go to Cuba. I choose a direction, as if my mere intent of going somewhere takes me there. Soon I can see several small islands and cliffs in the sea. It doesn’t look the way I thought it would. My disappointment is short-lived though, because I hear a boat coming towards me. I turn around and see a boat with what I first believe to be a norwegian flag. I wonder where they are going and what norwegians are doing outside Cuba. I decide to follow them and soon they reach their destination, which is one of the islands in the area. When I get closer I can see that they actually are american scientists. What are they doing here? I think to myself. One of them enters the back of a huge truck. My curiousity forces me to follow, but just as I’m about reveal their cargo I decide to wake up.

Sheep, guitars, dogs and books (July 12, 2009)

leave a comment »

Me and some other people struggle to get all the sheep inside the minivan. Finally we’re able to close the doors, but the mere sight of the terrified sheep makes me sick. It’s extremely skimpy and I can understand their panic as they literally stand on each other. We get into the car and the driver starts driving towards my grandparents’ new home. During the trip we play guitar. Everyone plays the same song, over and over again. When we reach our goal the sheep are gone and now we have a couple of dogs instead. Me and one of the dogs get off while the other continue driving. My  grandparents say hello, and then start to show me their house and especially one of the rooms which has just been renovated. I like it. On a table lies a pile of books. I look at the them and find among other things scores of music I’ve never heard. I also find a photograph of my grandparents and two of their friends (another couple) in which they are quite young and jumping.

Invaded by aliens (July 10, 2009)

leave a comment »

I am sitting in a car. Someone else is driving while I’m looking out over the urban landscape. The sunset cannot be seen, though it’s getting darker and darker. Suddenly I see lots of airplanes – military fighters – in the air. Their tremendous speed makes me nervous and soon the entire sky is filled with loud flying machines. Very quickly I realize that the situation is out of control – I actually suspect we’re being invaded by aliens. The car stops and I get out as fast as possible, then I start running. When we reach the corner of the block I get down on my kness to rest, but accidentally put my hand in some sort of wet mud. By the wall I see a coat and beneath the fabric a strange creature. It’s not a human being but it’s not one of the (presumably evil) attacking aliens either. This being is made of, or entirely covered with, mud. My first reaction is to look for what direction to flee, but at the same time I know that this dressed living mud want me know harm – so I stay.

Robbed by munks (August 24, 2008)

leave a comment »

I’m strolling down a narrow street and suddenly a small group of (what appears to be) christian munks surround me. Two of them grab my arms but I’m soon able to get lose. I ask what they want but they just laugh at me. I then start to feel very uncomfortable but I’m not sure of how to deal with the situation. I recall the small amount of money in my pocket. Should I bribe them? Perhaps I must fight? Or should I – in a non-violent way – refuse to fight back and let them do me physical harm if that’s what they are up to? I finally decide to try to talk me out of the situation.

A spiteful train conductor (August 5, 2008)

leave a comment »

I find myself on a high-speed train, together with two friends of mine. Soon I feel that I have to get off immediately because I am chasing someone and that person is not on the train. I find a steel door, and when I open it I see a stairway that leads down to some sort of basement. All three of us go down and in the little dark room we find another extremely solid door, but it’s locked. We decide to go up again but the door we had entered is now impossible to open. We’re trapped. Somehow though, we manage to get up again and when the train reaches the next station we get off as quickly as possible. Suddenly we remember that we have forgotten our luggage above our seats and we decide to go get it. I ask the female train conductor if she can hold the train for a second or two. “No problems”, she says. We find our way back to our seats but when we are just about to get off the train again the doors closes and the train starts moving. The conductor laughs spitefully, but for some reason I blame my friends.

Medieval chinese couples (August 3, 2008)

leave a comment »

I’m standing on a kickbike, riding down a road that leads to the area in my hometown where freight trains arrive. I reach the railroad tracks and I see several chinese couples who are getting married. They are all, to my surprise, dressed in medieval clothes. I’m not entirely sure whether they are modern people with old clothing or if they actually have travelled in time. One couple is just about to say “yes” to the priest, even though they seem very reluctant to do so. Finally they both accept the marriage and the audience basically orders them to kiss each other. I’m terrified.

I become a rebel (July 29, 2008)

leave a comment »

I am in a big square with plenty of other people as we get attacked by hostile robots. They outnumber us and since they want to extinct the human race I decide to flee. I choose a narrow little street on the opposite side of where I stand and then starts to run. A few miles down the road I see a group of people hiding on a roof. I try to get up there but unfortunately I’m too short so I give up. Just as I am about to leave someone from the roof comes down. He says he wants to help me and that he is tall enough to be able to climb up there by his own means. I thank him and soon I’m surrounded by a bunch of unknown people outside a forever-changed city, now occupied by the enemy. I then suggest that we should move to the higher buildings and they seem to think it’s a good idea. We reach the new roof and we discuss whether we should lie down and try to melt in. Someone says that a chopper might fly by. After a while an impatient woman asks what we’re supposed to do. She wonders for how long we must stay like this and if there is any hope at all. I mention that during World War 2 several resistance groups survived and that I think we will too – if we are smart. A few hours later we – the rebels – continue to walk down the narrow road until we reach an abondoned peaceful bay where we also decide to stay. This is where we are going to build our new homes, this will be our headquarter.

Catching a thief (July 25, 2008)

leave a comment »

Me and a couple of friends decide to visit my parents’ summer house and in order to do that we need to go by boat. When we arrive I can see that the front door is wide open but I can’t see any sign of anyone being inside so I dare to enter the house. Suddenly a 30-year-old woman jumps out in front of me. She rushes out in the garden but I hesitate before I decide to follow after, not because I am scared but because I’m not entirely sure that she deserves to be punished. Anyway, after a dramatic chase I force her to ground with my knees and ask one of my friends to call the police. The fight between me and the woman is tough, and I get no help from my friends. I order them to call the police again to ask them to hurry up. I even call the police myself once. The woman then draws a well-hidden gun. Quickly I grab her wrist to prevent her from aiming at me and then I compel her drop the weapon. Finally a female police-officer arrives in an odd oblong boat. She takes care of the thief and then starts to interrogate me. I answer the questions but I am extremely upset.
